An exciting addition to the USRA  B-Mod engine options is the Concept Engine. It’s a good, competitive engine package and it’s been previously allowed by WISSOTA. We started doing carburetor r&d for this engine package as soon as WISSOTA allowed them, and have found that the carburetor needs to be set up specifically for this engine combination to maximize performance.

The characteristics of the engine make it tricky to put the fuel curve where it needs to be and it’s very common for people using “shelf” type carburetors to have a bad stumble when picking up the throttle. We’ve worked with carburetors for this engine package extensively and have some available that provide razor sharp throttle response and a very significant power increase over both “shelf” type carburetors and other custom built carburetors on the market. The dyno numbers show the difference and our customers have built up an impressive record of wins with them in WISSOTA sanctioned events and 2017 is off to a good start with USRA.
